Tom,

Thanks for a fabulous day in Cheesman Canyon yesterday. As I speculated, Denver Water did a double flow increases during our day of fishing. I cannot believe how good it really was considering the weather and bump in flows. Thanks for your continued support at the shop and having faith in confidence in my guiding skills. Here is the monster you caught in the Ice Box on the Stalcup’s Baetis. The 10′ 5 weight Sage Z Axis you had is an amazing nymphing rod, especially in these high water flows!!!

Once again, thanks for an epic day!

After 5 minutes of instruction from Jim Cannon, Dale was into his first ever trout on a fly rod. By the end of the day he had hooked, landed, and been broken off by some great fish. Dale is now hooked.

I have fished Cheesman Canyon many times and left with a sense of frustration as I could not figure out why those fish are so picky. At the recommendation of Jim Cannon, I hired Pat Dorsey to take me into the Canyon and show me the intricacies of fishing this technical tailwater.

This was one of the best days of fishing I have ever had. We hooked up at least 25 fish and landed “several beauties”. I am amazed at the knowledge Pat posseses about the Canyon and his ability to instruct a novice angler through the small details required to be successful in Chessman.

Thanks again for a wonderful day!!!

Just a note to let you know I had a fantastic trip into Cheesman Canyon on Saturday with Bob!

The river was cold, clear and flowing well. The weather was great, in spite of a bit of wind.

Bob’s patience with this slow guy, with horrible vision, that doesn’t cast well in wind was greatly appreciated. He spotted fish everywhere and would do his best to guide me to the right cast point and drift line. Bob’s sense of humor was great…ask him about handing me air to grasp! I cannot remember a better day of fishing. We caught a number of great fish, and hooked a many more. I was impressed with the size and fight of the trout. Landing a couple of fish was an adventure in its self.

What a treat to get hooked up with Bob on less than 24 hours notice! Thank the Lord for some cancellations. I look forward to another great trip to Colorado next month and hope to engage your services again.
